NEWSLETTER | Quarter 3-4/2019

Dear CAE users and those interested,

We would like to inform you about news from Dynardo as well as our training and events in Quarter 3 & 4, 2019.

Current Issue 1/2019

The process of democratization in CAE-based product development should mean to make analysis tools and results accessible not only to analysts and advanced simulation experts but to all engineers involved in the development process.

The case study in the title story of the current RDO-Journal presents optiSLang as an interface to almost any software tool used in the virtual product development process (VPDP). The coupling with optiSLang can be automated either in a single solver process chain or in very complex multi-disciplinary and multi-domain workflows. Thus, the entire development team benefits by capturing the knowledge of each participating member.

Apart from that, we again selected case studies and customer stories concerning CAE-based Robust Design Optimization (RDO) applied in different industries.

Customer stories regarding virtual product development

Democratization of CAE-Workflows with optiSLang at Robert Bosch GmbH

Democratization of simulation workflows is making CAE analysis accessible to all engineers involved in the process of product development. Dynardo’s optiSLang offers a graphical framework to setup complex and multi-disciplinary CAE-based workflows with arbitrary calculation options and linked simulation nodes. This concept allows the consequent reuse of CAE data to ensure best results independent from region and user.

optiSLang in functional development of hydraulic valves at Hilite Germany GmbH

Due to shortened development time and higher requirements in the automotive cycle, it is necessary to include simulation methods. Using the example of a 4/3-way valve it will be explained how a geometry can be derived from customer requirements within the shortest possible time. optiSLang is integrated during the entire development process and serves as a link between the CFD and system simulations, as well as the design optimizations.
