Dust container optimization of a vacuum cleaner housing

A thermal-mechanical coupled FE-simulation in ANSYS Workbench as well as a sensitivity analysis and optimization in optiSLang was conducted to optimize the back wall braces of a vacuum cleaner. Thus, the distortion was minimized in operating mode regarding the influence of high temperature and exposure to negative pressure.
