Dynamic analysis of a Transrapid drive way
The aim of the project was to prove the solidity of the Transrapid tracks considering non-linear soil-structure interaction. The calculations showed the potential of optimization for the foundations including costs of different construction alternatives.
With a dynamic analysis, the load signal caused by the Transrapid train passing the foundation was calculated. The determined load signals were used to examine static and dynamic non-linear hydro-mechanically coupled simulations. The soil profile was described by using elasto-plastic material models (Mohr-Coulomb with tension cut-off, double yield cape model).
