Robust Design Optimization (RDO) with optiSLang using MOP/CoP

Sensitivity analysis and robustness evaluation are important components of the virtual product development. In this process, the optimization variables for design improvement are systematically modified. However, due to their high number, these parameters have to be limited in practice in order to be able to use mathematical optimization algorithms. With the Dynardo developments Metamodel of Optimal Prognosis (MOP) and Coefficient of Prognosis (CoP), this problem can be overcome.

optiSLang inside ANSYS Workbench 14.5

With the new software version "optiSLang inside ANSYS Workbench" the strength of ANSYS Workbench–multidisciplinary, fully parametric, automated CAE computational processes–and the strength of optiSLang–highly efficient, automated workflow of Robust Design Optimization are combined in a way sensitivity analysis, multiobjective and multidisciplinary optimization as well as robustness evaluation for high-dimensional non-linear problems have been simplified and can be performed with a minimum of variation runs.
